CLOCKWORK ANGELS: The Novel photos from signing
A freelance photographer working for Billboard Magazine dropped by my signing yesterday at the ECW booth and took these photos. A great crowd, lots of excitement for the book…and now the Rush album comes out in less than a week.
If you did not get one of the free sampler booklets, I’m doing another signing at the ECW booth (#2740) this morning at 10 AM. I will also make some of the leftovers available by mail, via my website; details to be posted soon.

I just ordered the Gold Edition at Rushbackstage.com and look forward to reading the novel…and proudly displaying “the rest of the investment” in my office/drum studio! I’ve enjoyed Neil’s travelogues (and of course drumming/lyrics). What a combo in working with you!
Dragging the family out to Colorado this week and will be in Manitou Springs/Pikes Peak area for a portion of it. You live in a beautiful area for which we look forward to experiencing!
Hi John, You can talk about the sampler on your fan site, but please don’t share the full content. (If they want a copy of their own, they can send me an envelope!) We are working with the Rush store and the Rush website to put up the pages sometime in the next few weeks, but we’re not ready to go yet.

I just received the Clockwork Angels sampler — thank you so much for making these available to your fans – and Rush fans alike. Through the first three chapters, you painted an intriguing tapestry of Owen’s steam-filled world and have truly brought to light the emerging ‘concept’ behind Clockwork Angels (the album). I can not wait to read the rest of the story come September.
Would you be opposed if I shared this sampler on my Rush fan site Cygnus-X1.Net? I’ve been promoting the album – and your novel of course – with my visitors for quite some time now. I’d love to be able to share the sampler with them so they too can be as intrigued with the story as I am. Of course I completely understand if you’d prefer to control the distribution of the sampler, but I wanted to ask nonetheless.

Yes, we’ll still make the samplers available. We just have to get an autoresponder set up to deliver the instructions…and I’ve been on some tight deadlines! Should be no longer than a week, though.
I am SO looking forward to this novel. It’ll be great to finally experience the full story that you and Neil developed — and how exciting will it be to read – and listen to Clockwork Angels – during the same sitting.
