All the visitors and family obligations during the holiday season threw my regular work schedule into turmoil.  Fortunately, before the first relatives arrived, I spent several days up at a cabin in Rocky Mountain National Park and made good headway on many works in progress.

TERRA INCOGNITA #2: THE MAP OF ALL THINGS—I finished a final read of the copy-edited manuscript, making last edits.  This was also a great way for me to ramp up on new work for the third book in the trilogy, THE KEY TO CREATION.  I wrote the Author Note for the end of the book, and also a sample chapter from Book 3, to be included in the book.

TERRA INCOGNITA #3: THE KEY TO CREATION—I plotted, wrote the blueprint, and then expanded into the full (74 page) outline.  I am just now starting the full-bore writing on the climactic volume…an awful lot of storylines to wrap up.

Second TERRA INCOGNITA rock CD, A LINE IN THE SAND—Rebecca and I have finished writing all the lyrics for the songs; Henning Pauly has completed most of the demos, and we will be doing the actual recording soon, working with the schedules of our vocalists.  

BLOOD LITE 2—I have finished reading all the submissions and selected the final entries.  100,000 words of new fiction from big names and little-known names.  I think this volume is even funnier than the first.  I still have a bunch of paperwork to do, writing up contracts for all the authors, compiling bios, etc.  But this book is ready to roll.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS novelette—an original piece in their Dark Sun universe, written on our recent cruise.  

STAR CHALLENGERS #1—completed the draft with Rebecca.  This is the first book in our space-education series written in partnership with the Challenger Centers for Space Science Education.  Submitted to June Scobee-Rodgers, founder of the Challenger Centers, and received her enthusiastic approval.  Now outlining the second book in the trilogy.

HELLHOLE, written with Brian Herbert—nearly finished.  I have one more edit to complete before the manuscript goes to our test readers and our editors.

Rebecca just had foot surgery yesterday, and she is recovering well.  I have a lot of time with the laptop next to her, ready to take care of anything she needs.  And I can also work in some edits, too.
