Audiobook News
The first Terra Incognita novel, The Edge of the World, will be available as an unabridged audiobook read by the fantastic Scott Brick (who has read all of my Dune novel collaborations with Brian Herbert, and will be doing the forthcoming Winds of Dune). I’ve spent a lot of time on the phone with Scott to go over all the pronounciations of the character names and foreign words. Next Monday we will record a bonus interview to go at the end of the audiobook. Scott just wrote me yesterday, “Finished recording it on Saturday. Awesome, awesome work, my friend. Congratulations, you really outdid yourself. Loved every single page.”
The audiobook will be available from Brick-by-Brick Audio and Hachette Audio. We’re trying to arrange an audio sample of Scott reading the first chapter, which we’ll post here if possible.
Meanwhile, I am up in a cabin at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, holed up without distractions (supposedly), blitzing through the first edit of The Map of All Things, the second novel in the “Terra Incognita” trilogy.
ENEMIES & ALLIES—Recorded Books is producing the unabridged audio of my forthcoming Batman/Superman novel, which comes out on May 5.
HUNTER’S MOON—audible.com has just rereleased a dramatized audio collection of some of my dark fantasy stories about a very strange small town in Wisconsin (not at all like the town where I grew up, honest . . . though there may be a few similiarities). These stories were released on cassette in the 1980s, but I’ve always loved the production and the performance. I’m thrilled to have them available again, this time for downloadable audio. Check them out at audible.com for a special offer of $7.49
