CLOCKWORK ANGELS: The Novel — sneak preview signing
At the Book Expo America, I spent lunch yesterday at a “blogger lunch” which was like speed dating for authors. I sat at a table with 7-8 bloggers and had fifteen minutes to talk about CLOCKWORK ANGELS: The Novel and DEATH WARMED OVER. Then the MC told the authors to switch to a new table, where I sat and talked about the novels to a different group of bloggers. I got to grab a bite of my turkey wrap in between each switch, then went on to another table — energetic, and exhausting!
This morning, I was one of two author speakers at a breakfast for the launch of Kobo’s new author portal, Kobo Writing Life — I’m one of the beta-testers, and I talked with a very small audience of people from Publishers Weekly, Oprah Magazine, Time Magazine, Library Journal, and other publications.
Then it was off to the BEA show for the day, lunch with my agents, and then an afternoon signing at the ECW booth where we gave out copies of the special color sampler booklet of CLOCKWORK ANGELS: The Novel — special introductions by Neil Peart and myself, the first three chapters, the lyrics to Caravan, and three color paintings from the book. I signed for a long line of people, and also gave out DEATH WARMED OVER postcards.
If you missed your copy, you have a second chance at 10 AM tomorrow morning at the ECW booth #2740. For those who can’t come to the BEA, I will make the leftover books available via my website. I’ll post details here as soon as we have that set up.
