It’s been an intense two months with a whirlwind of deadlines and appearances, and I’ve been stuck inside looking out at the beautiful weather (feeling like a kid with chicken pox not allowed to go out and play). But after I turned in two manuscripts, I blocked out part of a day and went on a hike in the Front Range, a spectacular trail to the Devil’s Head fire lookout, a high rock outcropping with a breathtaking view of the foothills, the Pike National Forest with rock formations to rival South Dakota’s Black Hills, and Pike’s Peak in the distance.

And I plotted a new Dan Shamble, Zombie PI story on the way. I’ve got to do this more often!
