More New Dune & Frank Herbert eBooks

Brian and I have compiled a new short collection, TALES OF DUNE, that includes two short stories set in the CHAPTERHOUSE DUNE era, “Sea Child” (which was written for ELEMENTAL: The Tsunami Relief Anthology) and “Treasure in the Sand” (published only briefly online before the release of SANDWORMS OF DUNE) as well as a new, never-published story “Wedding Silk,” a tale of young Paul Atreides and Duncan Idaho.  TALES OF DUNE is available in all eBook formats. Sydney for Supanova Expo

Rebecca and I flew to Sydney to be guests at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo, arriving very early in the morning on Thursday. We got to the hotel, but they didn't have our room ready yet at 6 AM (no surprise). We met fellow guest James Marsters in the lobby, who was also waiting to get into his room. After a few hours in the executive lounge, we were finally able to check into the room, shower, change clothes, then get ready to meet fellow writer Bryan Logan, who had volunteered to drive us around the Sydney Beaches for sightseeing...

First Look: SISTERHOOD OF DUNE Cover

We've just received the cover art for SISTERHOOD OF DUNE, a beautiful wraparound painting, similar in design to THE WINDS OF DUNE. Rather than highlighting the Bene Gesserit, the art director chose a (relatively minor) scene in the novel of a female Fremen in a raid on a rival spice operation. The Sisterhood school probably didn't offer very dramatic imagery! The novel will be released in March 2012.
