Brian and I arrived by train in Stamford/Old Greenwich, CT, for tonight's signing at Just Books @ Arcadia Cafe. Brian and I each did a telephone interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette to promote our signing on August 14, then Brian did another phone interview with the Toronto Star. On the train and in the hotel room, I managed to edit three chapters of HELLHOLE. Starting at 8:15 AM, after I had run to the Starbucks around the corner from the hotel, Brian and I met in his room, picked up the two phone extensions, and began working our way through 13 radio interviews around the country, one after another, with occasional breaks. We talked on stations from Raleigh/Durham, Los Angeles, Grand Rapids (MI), Portland (ME), Baltimore (MD), Charleston (WV), Boston, Peoria (IL), Colorado Springs, Denver, Cleveland (OH, Pittsburgh (PA), and Jackson (TN). Wonderful and unexpected news yesterday: scientists have named recently mapped features on Saturn's moon Titan after planets in Frank Herbert's Dune novels.
